The fire erupted due to an electric short circuit at a wooden house located in the Pattan area of Lower Kohistan district of the province early Friday morning, Farman Ali, an official at the district's emergency rescue service told local media. He said that the fire caused the roof of the house to collapse, trapping the family members under the debris, adding that women and children were among the victims. At least eight to 10 cows also perished in the huge fire that engulfed the adjoining farm as well. Following the incident, rescue teams along with fire vehicles and ambulances reached the site and started rescue operatio
